What's Dr Martens up to

Photographer Jamie Morgan and Ray Petri showed up at the office of The Face with a black and white cover image of a 13 year old boy who had the eyes of a gangster. This started the Buffalo movement and words cut out from newspapers onto the clothes, though words like "killer". The magazine brought to light the attitude that emerged from London’s post punk melting of cultures and subcultures, blurring the lines between masculine and feminine. This happened 30 years ago and today Jamie Morgan and Barry Kamen pay homage to the Buffalo movement by collaborating on the fall/winter collection of 2015, shooting a series of images and a short film for “The spirit of Buffalo”.
